Function: Leader

Profile:Three million years ago on a nameless planet, evolution went up a blind alley. Life was created in the oceans, not from the galactic standard of carbon or silicon, but something else. This new life form was liquid, a civilization measured not by the size of buildings but by the eddies of complex waves and currents. Vapis was the leader of this race, born from the oldest molecule that gained self-awareness, sworn to protect and guard his people from the outside world.

Even he could not have foreseen what was to come. Invaders came from the stars; mechanical men who torched the land, reducing the surface-based civilizations of the planet to dust. As he saw the carnage caused, he ordered his scientists to examine the remains of these physical creatures, to find a way to take the battle to the surface in case they returned to finish what they had started.

That was ten thousand years ago. He has had plenty of time to prepare for total war.

Abilities: Vapis does not seem to exist as a traditionally physical entity; it is believed he can move his consciousness in a gaseous or liquid form. This liquid is akin to acid – lethal to the touch.

Weaknesses: Though he claims he and his race can be hurt, that has yet to be proved in any subjective manner. Until further tests are carried out as to exactly what Vapis and his people are, he should be considered extremely dangerous.
